[MARCH 15, 2005]
The Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce
will sponsor its sixth annual Ag Day Breakfast on March 23 at 7 a.m.
The event, to take place in the Laughlin Center on the campus of
Lincoln Christian College and Seminary, is part of the National
Agriculture Week observance.

Keynote speaker for the event is humorist Bob Farmer, representing
the Farmers' Almanac. Like the almanac, Farmer's programs are laced
with anecdotes, remedies and a liberal dose of humor. The nationally
acclaimed speaker will bring the publication alive with his unique,
down-home style of humorous storytelling.

One of the highlights of the breakfast will be the announcement
of this year's Ag Day Scholarship winners. Scholarships will be
awarded to Logan County students who are studying toward careers in
agriculture, particularly students interested in returning to Logan
County.

Bill Sahs, chairman of the Chamber Ag Day Breakfast, emphasizes that
the scholarship program and breakfast for the community would not be
possible without the generous support of local businesses. Sponsors
will be recognized during the event through vendor tables,
promotional giveaways and a PowerPoint slide presentation.
There is no charge to attend the breakfast, but a reservation is
required. RSVPs must be received prior to March 18 and may be made
by calling (217) 735-2385.
