There will be a plethora of crafts, antiques, baked goods and food
offered for purchase throughout the event. The Salt Creek Crafters,
The Kindling Box, Weaver's Country Baskets, Botanica, Doubled
Creations and P.S. It's Handmade are just a few of the many crafters
that will be displaying and selling their items throughout the
weekend.
The Phoenix Fire Department will offer a barbecue and chili
dinner; St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church will have a pancake and
sausage breakfast; the United Methodist Church will offer soups and
sandwiches; and the Mount Pulaski Women in Business will serve pork
chop sandwiches. Again, these are just a few of the many
organizations serving food and drinks for the occasion.
The Mount Pulaski Courthouse State Historic Site will be open for
visitors and offering tours throughout the weekend. The courthouse
will be decorated in period décor, just as it was when Abraham
Lincoln served there as an 8th Circuit Court lawyer. Free apple
cider and coffee will be served, and maps to all the locations
participating in the Vinegar Hill celebration will be available.
