To the editor: Wal-Mart is not in
line with other retailers... but only in your dreams.
Why do you get meats all prepackaged? It's because the meat
cutters went union, and your Wal-Mart fired all the cutters.
Wal-Mart doesn't feel they have to pay the wages that union workers
should get.
I am a union worker myself -- my job: baker-fryer for Safeway --
so you can't tell me that Wal-Mart wages are up with the other
retailers. You are flat-out wrong, and [regarding] health care,
[with] IGA and Krogers, when you get sick you will get better care
than with Wal-Mart's health care package.
