Lincoln College helps student victims of Hurricane Katrina       Send a link to a friend

[SEPT. 6, 2005]  Lincoln College is opening its doors to undergraduate students attending Gulf Coast colleges and universities disrupted by Hurricane Katrina.

President John Hutchinson announced Friday that Lincoln College, both in Lincoln and at the Normal campus, will enroll students from affected colleges and universities tuition-free for the fall semester. The admissions process will be expedited, which includes waiving application and late registration fees. Lincoln College will charge for normal housing arrangements and accommodate other needs as they arise.

President Hutchinson called the national disaster a historic event in United States history. "We welcome these students and plan to make it as easy as possible to become part of our college community and ensure their educational needs are met," he said.
