Elkhart Open Doors Weekend thank-you          Send a link to a friend

To the editor:

Thank you to the many visitors who braved the less-than-friendly weather and came to Elkhart's Open Doors Weekend June 10 and 11. Thank you to the Lincoln Daily News on the wonderful article showcasing our village and why everyone should visit and hopefully choose to stay a lifetime! A special thank you to Town and Country Bank, Illini Bank, and the numerous realtors who helped promote Elkhart as a wonderful place to live.

To the WMAY radio personalities and Midwest Family Broadcasting staff, thank you for helping to put us on the map with the "Our Town" stop in Elkhart. A special thank-you to the sponsors of "Our Town," including Elkhart Grain, ICG Viper Mine, Elkhart Hill Estates, Prairie Pointe subdivision, Davis Truck Service, Elkhart Historical Society and Logan County Tourism Bureau, and especially Peggy Brown's Talk of the Town for hosting the two-day event.

[to top of second column in this letter]

If you didn't make it to Elkhart June 10 and 11, the doors are always open, and watch for more events we have planned throughout the year. Our next event is June 17, when we will be hosting our annual village garage sale day!
