Dear Editor: Hurray for Eric.
[Letter]
It's nice to see that other racing fans who live outside of Lincoln
understand the way our city council works. Instead of hearing the
whole story and looking at the moneys this will generate, they
constantly find the negative and won't look past it. We, as
residents, don't get a say in what happens in Lincoln unless we call
and complain, and that doesn't do any good, i.e. the Super Wal-Mart
coming to town.
The new owners have wonderful ideas to help strengthen our city's
revenues, but wait... it will be noisy, and there will be drinking.
Who cares? For one night a week, the city of Lincoln will be host to
a great sport that will bring in tourists and create something for
its citizens to do other than sit at home wishing there was more for
us to do in town.
Josh Bruns
