[February 07, 2008]  GREENVILLE -- The Lincoln Christian College basketball teams played Wednesday evening at Greenville.

Angels

LCC's Angels were defeated on the road 69-40 by the Greenville Panthers.

Team leaders for Lincoln were Emma Hanford with 13 points and six rebounds and Jessica Blythe with 10 points and six rebounds. Danielle Snider was able to gather in seven rebounds.

The Angels are now 2-19 and will be playing in Saturday's Hall of Fame contest against Principia College at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Preachers

Jon Wallace had a big night with 27 points and eight rebounds, Matt Searby added 16 points and Grant Zimmermann had 12, but the Preachers were not able to match the balanced scoring of the Panthers of Greenville College, falling 80-69. Greenville had 10 different players score.

LCC was only able to score 30 points in the first half, and although they outscored Greenville by six in the second half and outrebounded the home team for the game, it was not enough.

The 6-15 Preachers will be hosting Principia College in the Hall of Fame game Saturday at 1 p.m.
