DETAILS: What to do if your dog or cat has ingested something harmful, has a broken bone or, even worse, is not breathing. Dr. Phillip Gillen of Lincoln Animal Hospital will teach this course. Instruction will cover basic first-aid, CPR and when to call the vet. You will not need to bring your pet.

Details: “My Fellow Americans,” the 66th annual show, will
feature the 75-man strong Sound of Illinois Chorus taking you down memory lane in our country’s history. Special guests will be the Hot Air Buffoons, a comedy quartet from Ohio, and the 33rd Illinois Volunteer Regiment Band, an authentic re-enactment of the actual Civil War era band that was mustered at State Normal University in 1861.Tickets may be purchased by calling 309-434-2777, online at www.soundofillinois.com or at Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts box office, 110 E. Mulberry St. in Bloomington. Box office hours are 10 am-6 pm Monday-Friday through Friday. The box office will also be open two hours prior to each show.
