LCC Angels to play for championship

[November 01, 2008]  DUNBAR, Wis. -- The Angels of Lincoln Christian College won their semifinals at the NCCAA Division II Regional Tournament Friday evening in Dunbar, Wis., when they defeated the host school, Northland Baptist Bible College, in three games, 25-18, 25-21, 25-18. The Angels will play for the championship this afternoon (Saturday) against the winner of the contest between Maranatha Bible College and Moody Bible College.

CivicLCC was very strong in their attack game, led by Jamie McFadden with 18 kills, 11 digs and two assists; Krystine Schnautz with 12 kills and two digs; Nicki Wingfield with 12 kills and one dig; and Adriane Tschantz with five kills, one assist and nine digs. Libero Jessica Schroeder turned in an outstanding defensive game with 23 digs, and Megan Donnelly had 48 assists.

The Angels will honor their senior players at their final home match on Tuesday at 7 p.m., when they host Hannibal-LaGrange.
