Don Britton, an approved contractor for the Weatherization Assistance Program administered locally by Community Action Partnership, uses a microscope attached to a lighted probe to inspect a furnace. The instrument is used to detect cracks or damage to heat exchangers, which will rob a furnace's efficiency. This furnace passed the inspection.
