The road south to the state capital shows lost jobs with more feared. The Route 66 Lincoln Parkway intersecting with Fifth Street Road shows an abundance of local investment and jobs. Going south, the empty LDC grounds can be seen at center left, with the prisons near the top of the picture. A town hall meeting is being held Wednesday evening to rally support for prison employees whose jobs are in jeopardy due to impending state layoffs.
