This has been recognized as an excellent melding of history and a contemporary road event. The 2009 Lincoln Circuit Ride takes four Sundays to complete the entire circuit. The first was in April, with a tour from Lincoln's Home in Springfield to the McLean-Logan marker. The June 14 ride departs from Postville Courthouse in Lincoln and ends at the Piatt-Champaign marker. The July 12 trip is from Carle Park in Urbana to the Coles-Shelby County line.
