Kathleen Hickerson

[March 23, 2009]  Kathleen Erma Hickerson, 79, of Lincoln, formerly of Foley, Ala.,  died Monday, March 23, 2009, at 9:15 a.m. at Maple Ridge Care Centre.

Visitation will be 5-6:45 p.m. Friday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will follow at 6:45 p.m., with the Rev. Richard Reinwald and Ray Pebbles officiating.

Mrs. Hickerson was a retired factory worker and homemaker.

She was born Dec. 4, 1929, in Atlanta, Ga., to Johnny Lester and Oma Lee Davis Titshaw. She married Bruce R. Hickerson on Feb. 2, 1951, in Pensacola, Fla. He survives, in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Other survivors are two daughters, Nancy (and Jack) Leich of Lincoln and Linda Berrain of Pensacola, Fla.; one brother, Johnny Lester Titshaw Jr. of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Jennifer (and Doug) Brickey of Beason and Jackie (and Jeff) Curry of Lincoln; and four great-grandchildren, Justin and Lane Brickey and Brady and Jake Curry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, John Hickerson; and two sisters, Ann Owens and Bernice Muller.

She attended St. John United Church of Christ.

Funeral Director

Memorials may be made to an education fund for her great-grandchildren, in care of State Bank of Lincoln.
