Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: It seems that the city is micromanaging this
business. I have never been to these races nor to any races in my
life, but many folks do enjoy the sport. By the looks of the crowds
at the track, I can't imagine that they don't bring in revenue to
the city of Lincoln.
Yes, the noise is annoying at times, but so are the cars that
drive by our home all hours of the day/night with stereo blasting
loud enough to shake the windows, the tractor pulls during fair
time, and whatever else may be disturbing to the public.
Good heavens, people need to quit complaining about such petty
things and put energy to more important issues around our town.
