The Beach Bums of Lincoln finished 33rd in the 2011 APA 9-Ball National Team Championship, conducted by the American Poolplayers Association on Aug. 18-22 at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. That is the highest a team from Logan County has ever placed.

The Beach Bums advanced to the national championship by qualifying at their local championship. More than 300 North American teams comprised the APA 9-Ball National Team Championship field. The Beach Bums participated in weekly league play at the Glass House Tavern in Lincoln.
