Central Illinois Community Blood Center is the blood provider to area patients of 15 counties at 12 central Illinois hospitals. CICBC is the only provider of blood to Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Hopedale Medical Complex, Memorial Medical Center and St. Johnís Hospital. DETAILS: Opening ceremonies will include presentation of colors, and Girl Scout Troop 6053 will lead in the pledge to the flag and singing "Happy Birthday" to Abe Lincoln. There will be an intergenerational activity of making an Abe Lincoln hand puppet. Punch, cake and ice cream will be served by guild members. This is a free family event. Come and join the celebration.

Come enjoy a delicious meal at Atlanta's Palms Grill Cafe, then listen to one of our area's top educators, Dr. Karen Estep, director of teacher education at Lincoln Christian University. Dr. Estep will share her three-week venture through China last June to explore potential partnership opportunities between Lincoln Christian University and China. This final dinner program in a series sponsored by the Atlanta Museum will begin with dinner at 6 pm, followed by Dr. Estepís program starting at 7 pm.
