A
greeting for Beeby.
Friday evening a large group of
Lincoln folk gathered on the courthouse lawn to participate in
the filming of a DVD that will be sent to Jon Beeby. Beeby
passed through Lincoln a few weeks ago on his walk across
America for charity. Beeby spent a great deal of time with
Lincolnite Roger Matson, seeing the sights of Lincoln, and he
expressed his hope to return and spend some real quality time
here when his walk is finished.
Speaking during the filming were Matson, who is the president of Main Street
Lincoln; Wanda Lee Rohlfs, Main Street executive director; Mayor
Keith Snyder; Andi Hake, executive director of the chamber of
commerce; and
Geoff Ladd, tourism director.

It's really been only a few short weeks since that
rainy Sunday in May when Habitat for Humanity hosted a
groundbreaking ceremony for their 16th Logan County home.
The house is now taking shape, and soon it will be ready for its
new owners: Eric and Teresa Baker and their two children.

T
his comic book image released by Marvel Comics
shows the character Frank
Castle, aka The Punisher. Readers of the upcoming
"Punisher" will see the lead character dealing with a new type of
criminal gang that is decidedly far more advanced socially and
technologically than his traditional mob opponents. Writer Greg Rucka says the book will retain its traditional hard and brutal edge
but with more supervillains to contend with, too.
