Mother and daughter want Dr. Kottemann back

Send a link to a friend

To the editor:

Twenty years ago I moved to Lincoln with my then-infant daughter. We were assigned to be Dr. Kottemann's patients.

Over the years Dr. Kottemann has cared for myself and two daughters with care that was second to none. There were times I had to wait in the exam room to see him, but all I could think is I knew he was caring for another patient as he does me. I wouldn't want him to rush through someone else's time just to get to me. He was worth waiting for. He listened, addressed all questions, calmed fears as much as possible and gave excellent medical attention.

Now, 20 years later, my then-infant daughter is expecting her first child and was looking forward to having Dr. Kottemann care for her as he has for her.

[to top of second column in this letter]

Dr. Kottemann, I want you to know that your patients are behind you. Dr. Kasa, I don't know why you put Dr. Kottemann on administrative leave, but I do know I want my doctor back.

Sincerely,

Toni Bauer
