A
school golf program with students from Hartsburg-Emden and Delavan high schools
is coached by Jason Garber. Of Garber's
11-player roster, nine are freshmen or
sophomores. More interestingly, about half
didn't know how to play the game when they came
out for the sport. Read more about this young
and learning team in the special sports article

It's
that time of year when ghosts and goblins start
haunting the streets of Lincoln, which means
it's time to start planning to take a trip
through the Lincoln Jaycees Haunted House. The house will open Oct. 5 at 325 S. Chicago
St. This year the house will be open
on Friday and Saturday nights as well as
Wednesday nights. There will also be "lights-on" matinees for the younger ones
every Saturday at 6 p.m. through Halloween.
