During Lincoln College’s commencement on Saturday, LC President John D. Blackburn awarded two honorary degrees: a Doctor of Fine Arts to Brenda Chapman and a Doctor of Laws to Judge James A. Knecht. The judge first amused the crowd with a story from his college years about a lucky trip. He then illustrated the invaluable lesson he learned from it: In order to live a life of balance, it is important to renew yourself, take a weekend pass. For him this meant time shared with his family.
