On
Monday, some of the preliminary construction work
began on the Lincoln Grand 8 Theater. Workers could
be seen atop the old Sandel Service Station, and a
large bucket tractor was digging up some of the old
concrete in the vacant lot. The real construction on
the new theater will not start until after the
Lincoln Art and Balloon festival. Many in Lincoln
are anticipating the new theater, and it is good to
see some action that tells us the concept will soon
be a reality.
