The chess team from
Zion Lutheran School in Lincoln capped off a fine season by participating in the
Illinois Elementary School Association state tournament Feb. 28-March 1 on the
campus of Illinois State University. Nathan Ford was the team's top
finisher and won a bronze medal for second runner-up in the eighth-grade
division. He had a 5-2 record. Read more in the story below.
