DETAILS: Sign language is another way to communicate without words.  It is like another language without speaking.  Those interested in knowing more about sign language and learning the skill are invited to attend this event.  There will be trained and skilled instructors who will offer a class on the subject.  Guests and beginner signers are welcome.

Prayer vigil for children in Foster Care

DETAILS: May is National Foster Care Month and Woven Together will be joining churches across the country in organized prayer vigils for children in foster care.

Several national organizations including Focus on the Family, Hope for Orphans, a ministry of FamilyLife, and Show Hope (founded by Grammy winning singer/songwriter Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife Mary Beth) are encouraging people to gather together to pray for the more than 500,000 children growing up in the foster care system during the month of May.

Several hundred prayer vigils for children and youth in foster care are expected to be held across the country. This will provide an opportunity for communities all over America to remember and pray for the children and families as well as the caseworkers and judges working to help them find loving homes.
