Mary Ellen Martin and Karen Birnbaum have created a patriotic theme in the window of the Logan County Genealogical & Historical Society at 114 North Chicago Street in Lincoln. Both women are members of the society. They change the window decoration several times a year with items from the LCGHS inventory of historic items.

The changes in the window relate to the time of year or an upcoming holiday. The current display contains uniforms from all of the military services as well as plates that celebrate many of the U.S. presidents. Stop by and check out their imaginative display.

The LCGHS is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The phone is 217-732-3200.

The LCGHS has several volunteers who can help with family genealogy research. The website is www.logancoil.genhist.org .
