Earlier
this week a Lincoln resident spotted this wild
animal during the daylight hours in her neighborhood
near Adams School. At first it was unclear what kind
of animal it is, but upon closer inspection,
considering the shape of the head, dark colored legs
and a light colored body, it appears to be a fox
that has lost all of it's hair, possibly due to
mange. It is never safe for an inexperienced person
to approach or try to trap a wild animal. According
to Lincoln Police Chief Paul Adams, if you see the
animal in your neighborhood and feel threatened by
it, you may contact the Lincoln Police Department
for assistance.
