Lincoln Elementary School District # 27 and the city of Lincoln officially closed on the sale of Jefferson School on Thursday, September 1st. District 27 School Board Secretary Marilyn Montgomery and Superintendent Kent Froebe turned the keys to the building over to Lincoln Police Chief Paul Adams, accompanied by Mayor Marty Neitzel and City Administrator Clay Johnson. The building will be re-purposed into a police headquarters for the city department.

On Friday afternoon, while one couple was visiting Gail's Pumpkin Patch for the first time and enjoying the experience, for a short period they were the center of attention with this customized truck. The daily driver for the couple from LeRoy is dressed up with some very unusual items including a racing style spoiler on the back, and custom airhorns that sound like they should be on a locomotive instead of a truck! The gentleman who owns the truck has done all the work himself and is quite proud of his efforts. The lady riding with him on Friday said she sometimes gets some odd looks, being an 84-year-old grandma getting out of such a triggered up vehicle! Either way, meeting the couple and listening to them talk about their vehicle proved to be a nice experience for a number of folks at the pumpkin patch.
