With
the sirens blaring and the lights flashing, the city
of Lincoln Police Department, followed closely by the
American Legion Color Guard, kicked off the Lincoln
Community High School Parade on Friday afternoon.
Crowds gathered from the corner of Wyatt Avenue and
South Kickapoo, all the way downtown and around the
square to cheer on their favorite entries. And of
course, you can't have a parade without candy, and
the youngsters in the crowd were counting on that
with bags in hand.
