The
2018 Wellness Expo was held on Saturday
at the Lincoln Park District with a
large crowd coming in and out throughout
the day. With more than 60 vendors the
event offered a wide variety of
information to the public about
health-related issues within our
community. Throughout the vendor area
held on the indoor tennis courts
visitors could find plenty of
opportunities for free health
screenings, lessons on healthy eating
and lifestyles, and the chance to talk
to experts about various health matters
including cancer, heart disease and
stroke.
There was also fun and games for the
kids including bounce houses, fun with
food, and free cooking demonstrations
aimed at proving out that eating healthy
can be delicious.
