LDN -- Top Stories

Friday evening the phrase "saving the best for last" may well be the best way to describe the Third Friday Downtown event in Lincoln. Mother Nature sent a whisper of fall into the evening with cool crisp air and clear skies. Visitors were plentiful and the final event of the season took on a festival personality as everyone enjoyed the live music, food opportunities, fun and games for the kids and adults, and an opportunity to see some of the big rigs used in various city departments. Around the square one of the best sights to take in was that of people enjoying other people. Friends gathered to reconnect, families walked the streets enjoying the many food offerings, and strangers shared their interest in the music and games.

This was the final Third Friday event for the 2018 season, but with such a great success throughout the summer, the folks of Lincoln and Logan county should expect to see this wonderful summertime event return to the city next year.
