On Thursday, September 20th, the Central Illinois Enforcement Group made two arrests in Lincoln related to the manufacture and distribution of controlled substances. Arrested were Phillip M Barnd of Lincoln and Ricky Webb of Peoria. The enforcement group is made up of several units of law enforcement from throughout a multi-county region. On a lovely Monday evening, members of the Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society enjoyed spending time at the home of Bob and Lynne Neal on Elkhart Hill. The Neals’ live in a serene setting that encourages guests to sit back, take a deep cleansing breath, just relax and enjoy. The home was built in 1837 by Elkhart forefather John Latham. It later became the home of the property of John D. Gillett, another historical figure in Logan County.
