SHOP LOGAN COUNTY

The annual Christmas Parade in Lincoln starts this evening at 6:30 p.m. Due to construction work ongoing on the east and south sides of the Logan County Courthouse, the parade route will differ from past years.

This year, the parade will begin on South Kickapoo at Wyatt Avenue, as always, will travel north on South and North Kickapoo to Broadway Street on the north side of the courthouse. At Broadway, the parade will turn right, heading east toward Lincoln City Hall at North McLean Street. At the intersection of Broadway and McLean, the route will turn left, going north to Pekin Street. The parade route will officially end at the junction of Pekin and North McLean. Santa and Mrs. Claus will take a left turn onto Pekin and proceed to the Lincoln Depot, Logan County Tourism Bureau Visitors Center on North Chicago Street.

At the Depot, Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit with area children. The LCTB will provide warm cocoa and cookies for guests as they wait their turn for a visit on Santa's lap.
