On Saturday afternoon, Postville Courthouse hosted a Christmas Open House. The guest of honor at the event was Mike Anderson aka The Dulcimer Guy. Anderson shared traditional Christmas music and spoke about the instruments that would have been popular in Abraham Lincoln’s Day. Surprisingly, the Dulcimer was not at the top of the list for those who lived in what would today be considered the middle-class population.

On Monday morning Lincoln Daily News visited Central Illinois Ag in Atlanta to conduct the drawing for the Pink Pedal Tractor donated to the Friends and Family Relay for Life Team by the dealership. The proceeds of the tractor raffle will go directly to the American Cancer Society.

The tractor was donated by CIA, and custom paint was applied by local Autobody and Restoration Specialist Darin Schempp.

On Monday, Matt Voelker with CIA did the honors of drawing the name of the winner. That person was Mary Johnson of Atlanta.
