Washington-Monroe School

For Saturday, October 25, 2025 our special pink shirt pictures feature the six branches of the District 27 Elementary Schools from Administration to Washington-Monroe. These photos represent the wonderful people who have dedicated themselves to the education of our young people. They better than anyone understands that education is key to the success of our children as they mature into adults.

Education is always important whether it be grade school, high school or college, every step of the way our kids grow more well informed.

When diagnosed with any type of cancer, education is going to become an important part of your action plan. When you learn what your disease entails, what can be done to combat it and what you can do in your home and personal life to increase your chances of survival your chances of successfully winning the battle increase.

If you are in this perilous position of having been diagnosed, learn all your can about your disease so you can be a well informed warrior.

Today we’re adding a bonus photo to our pink collection. The staff at Farm & Home Supply in Lincoln hosted ladies night at the store this past Thursday, October 23rd. As a part of the event, there was a fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society. Karen Castelein and Nila Smith with the Friends & Family Relay for Life team partnered with the store to help raise over $700 for ACS. At the end of the evening, the staff still on duty, donned in their pink shirts posed for a picture for the Lincoln Daily News Paint the Paper Pink Campaign
