Due to the Labor Day holiday the first voting session of the month for the Lincoln City Council was held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Prior to the voting session, two new patrol officers were sworn into service to the City of Lincoln Police Department.

Officer Austin O’Donoghue was the first to stand before Lincoln City Attorney John Hoblit to be sworn in.

The second officer sworn in was Antonino Dominquez De La Cruz.

Both officers were welcomed to the city by Lincoln Alderpersons and Mayor Tracy Welch and also Lincoln Police Chief Joe Meister and Assistant Chief Matt Comstock.
