DOEHRING-ACEBAL
Tari
Sue Doehring and Andrew Joseph Acebal exchanged rings and vows
Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at Park United Methodist Church,
Bloomington. The Rev. Paul Newhall performed the 5 p.m. ceremony.
Tari,
of Mundelein, was given in marriage by her father. She is the
daughter of August and Mary Doehring of Fayetteville, Tenn., and
John and Alice Wilmert of Lincoln. Andrew, of Fox River Grove, is
the son of Henry Acebal of Chicago and Andrew and Gerri Orgler of
Fox River Grove.
Eden
Doehring, sister-in-law of the bride, and Jennifer Schneider were
matrons of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Dana Wilmert,
stepsister of the bride; Kristen Fitzpatrick; Wendi Doehring,
sister-in-law of the bride; and Sherry Orgler, sister-in-law of
the groom. The flower girls were Sarah and Emily Doehring, nieces
of the bride.
Jason
Acebal and David Acebal, brothers of the groom, served as best
men, accompanied by Todd Doehring and Troy Doehring, brothers of
the bride, and Brian Orgler and Michael Orgler, stepbrothers of
the groom. The ringbearer was Jacob Doehring, nephew of the bride.
Juan
Rivera and Tom Oviatt served as ushers.
A
reception was held at Jumer’s Chateau in Bloomington, and the
newlyweds honeymooned in the Bahamas.
The
couple now resides in Lincoln.
Tari
is a 1991 graduate of Lincoln Community High School and a 1995
graduate of Illinois State University in Normal, with a bachelor
of science degree in accountancy. She is employed by Miller Cooper
and Co. Ltd. in Northbrook as a certified public accountant.
Andrew
is a 1991 graduate of St. Patrick High School in Chicago and a
1995 graduate of ISU, with a bachelor of science degree in
marketing. He is employed by River North Sales and Service in
Chicago as an operations manager.

ANNIVERSARIES
JIM
& PAULA STONE
Jim
and Paula Stone of Lincoln are observing their 15th wedding
annniversary. They were married in Springfield on March 20,
1985.
They
are the parents of three children, Miranda, Danielle and Jimmy.
Jim
is employed as an autoworker for Mitsubishi Motor Manufacturing of
America in Normal. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1972 to 1976
and graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1980.
Paula
is a homemaker and is employed at Papa John's in Lincoln. She
graduated from Riverton High School in 1978.
ALVIN & TERESA KLOCKENGA
Alvin
and Teresa Klockenga of Lincoln will have their 40th wedding anniversary on
Feb. 27. They were married at St. Patrick's Church in Lincoln by Father Daniel Monaghan
Feb. 27, 1960. Their attendants were Elizabeth Patterson of Bloomington
and Vernon Klockenga of Lincoln.
They are the parents of Kathy
Buse of Beason; Patty Huffer and Chris Klockenga, both of Lincoln; Anne
Pochel of Bloomington; and Mary Giroux of Normal. They have nine grandchildren.
Family
and friends are invited to attend a celebration of their 40 years.
The observance will be Saturday, March 4, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Moose Lodge in Lincoln.

STANLEY
& PHYLLIS STRUEBING
Stanley
and Phyllis Struebing of Emden will observe their golden anniversary
on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000. A family vacation at Pheasant Run will
celebrate the milestone at a later date.
Stan
Struebing and Phyllis Cross were married at St. Peter Lutheran
Church in Emden on Feb. 19, 1950, with Pastor John Detjen
officiating. Betty Ann Krusemark and Robert Struebing were the
attendants.
The
Struebings are parents of Cathy (Rick Cross) of Minier; Faye (Jim
Wickliffe) of Mahomet; and Susanne (Jim Dornbusch) of Califon, N.J.
They have eight grandchildren: Angela (Kevin Staubus), Bradley
(Holly), Tony and Brent Cross, Jeffrey and Brian Wickliffe, and
Tyler and Tina Dornbusch. They also have one great-granddaughter,
Lauryn Cross.
Stan
retired from farming and the Hartem Bus Service in 1991, and Phyllis
retired as secretary at Hartsburg-Emden High School the same year.

THOMAS HOBAN, son of Krista and Thomas Hoban of Lincoln, was
born Tuesday, March 14, 2000. He weighed 10 lb. 2 oz. He is a
brother to Vistoria, 3, and Katelyn, 1½. His maternal grandparents
are Rhonda Thornton of Beason and Tim Harmon and Linda Harmon, both
of Springfield. Tom and Bev Hoban of Crete are Patrick's paternal
grandparents. His great-grandparents are Winifred
Trapp, Sue Bruner, Gerald Thornton and William Harmon.
ABBEGAIL
MARIE PHILLIPS, daughter of Laura and Derek Phillips, was
born Wednesday, March 8, 2000, at ALMH. She weighed 7 lb. 14 oz. Her
maternal grandparents are Linda and Lynn Vaughan of Mount Pulaski.
Her paternal grandparents are Dan and Betty Phillips of Mount
Pulaski. Abbegail’s great-grandparents are Glenn and Millie
Vaughan, Erma and Earl Phillips and Kenneth Kaesebier. Abbegail
takes her middle name from her great-great-grandmother, Marie
Detmers of Emden.
ELIZABETH
ROSE BERGMAN, daughter of Joseph Michael and Jennifer Elise
Bergman of Lincoln, was born Thursday, March 2, 2000, at ALMH. She
weighed 7 lb. 14 oz.. Elizabeth’s maternal grandparents are David
and Galeen Driscoll of Metamora. Her paternal grandparents are
Joseph and Rosalie Bergman of Montrose, Iowa. Great-grandparents are
Bernadine Noel, Thomas and Marge Driscoll and Bill and Dorothy Lacke.
Elizabeth takes her first name from her maternal
great-great-grandmother and her middle name from her paternal
grandmother.
ANNA
MARIE COLEMAN, daughter of Jason and Vicki Coleman of
Lincoln, was born Wednesday, March 1, 2000 at ALMH. She weighed 7
lb. 8 oz. Her maternal grandparents are Darrell and Cathy Kissick of
Athens. Her paternal grandparents are Don Coleman Jr. of Kincade and
Pam Israel of Franklin. Great-grandparents are Don and Ruth Moss,
Cecila Kissick and Wanda Coleman. Anna’s middle name, Marie, is
also the middle name of her mother.
MADISON
ELAINE SKELTON, daughter of Judy and Tim Skelton of Mason
City, was born Wednesday, March 1, 2000 at ALMH. She weighed 7 lb. 6
oz. and is the sister of Nathaniel, 10, and Alyssa, 3. Madison’s
maternal grandmother is Audrey Matthews of Lincoln. Her paternal
grandmother is Mable Skelton of Middletown.
AUSTIN
TAYLOR WALDROP, son of Christina Polk and Brent Waldrop of
Mount Pulaski, was born Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at ALMH. He weighed
7 lb. 8 oz. His maternal grandparents are Thomas and Margie Polk of
Mount Pulaski. His paternal grandparents are Buck and Joanne Waldrop
of Riverton. His great-grandparents are Thomas and Olivia Polk,
Olive Goodman, Ann Oliver and Rose Waldrop.
CHLOE
ELAINE TUNGATE, daughter of Melissa Laubenstein and Gregory
Tungate of Emden, was born Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000. She weighed 10
lbs. 6 oz. She is a sister to Emilie Marie Tungate, 4½. Emilie's
grandparents are Chris and Clyde Tungate of Champaign and Rue
and Gloria Tungate of Union. Great-grandparents are Ina Smith of
Lincoln, Mary Louise Tungate of Lincoln, Edward Karrick of Pana,
Robert and Bonnie Smith of Monticello and Oscar and Flo Tungate of
Bradfordsville, Ky. Bessie Palmer of Lincoln is Emilie's
great-great-grandmother.
ASHLEY
NICOLE HALL, daughter of Gayle and Larry Hall of Atlanta,
was born Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000. She weighed 7 lb. 14 oz. She
is a sister to Collin, 9. Her maternal grandparents are Harold and
Donna Henrichsmeyer of Lincoln. Ella Marie Hall of Greenview is her
paternal grandmother. Her great-grandmother is Erna Henrichsmeyer.

McMINN-GORDON
Tom
and Christie McMinn of Mattoon announce the engagement of their
daughter, Katherine Elizabeth, to Jason Lynn Gordon of Mattoon.
He
is the son of Stanley "Dwayne" and Debbie Gordon, also of
Mattoon.
Katherine
is a 1998 graduate of Mattoon High School. She is a junior at
Lincoln Christian College, majoring in family life ministry and
counseling.
Gordon
is a 1996 graduate of Mattoon High School, and plans to graduate
from Lincoln Christian College in May with a bachelor’s degree in
music ministry.
A
June 10 wedding is planned.
