Gary Hatfield
Gary Hatfield, 58, of
Lincoln died at 7:50 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2002, at Memorial Medical
Center in Springfield.
Visitation will be
from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln.
His funeral service,
with the Rev. Greg Wooten officiating, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday,
July 30, at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville.
Burial will be in
Union Grove Cemetery, Greenville.
Hatfield was a
retired truck driver.
He was born March 28,
1944, in Vandalia to Earl William and Emily "Flo" Strohkirch
Hatfield.
Survivors are his
soulmate, Janice Howe of Lincoln; one daughter, Laura Andring of
Chestnut; two sons, Bryan Keith Hatfield and Brett Lee Hatfield,
both of Lincoln; one stepson, Kevin James Smith of Hannibal, Mo.; 15
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry (and
Rachel) Hatfield of Lincoln; and two sisters, Jan (and Lester) Van
Bibber of Lincoln and Vicky (and Vernon) Banister of Lincoln.
He was previously
married to Lois Nadine Cox and to Carolee Beel.
He was preceded in
death by his parents.
He was a member of
the Southern Baptist Church and the Eagle’s Lodge.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s

Kathy Shryock
Kathy B. Shryock, 48, of San Jose died
at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at Methodist Medical Center
in Peoria.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. to 1
p.m. Monday, July 29, at First Church of God in Pekin, with Pastor
Plogger officiating.
There is no visitation.
Hurley Funeral Home of Mason City is in
charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Shryock was a homemaker.
She was born Oct. 28, 1953, in Delavan
to Jess and Ruby Slack Deweese. She married Thomas Shryock on April
5, 1986, in Hearne, Texas. He survives.
Other survivors are one son,
Christopher Allen of San Jose; one daughter, Cassie Allen of San
Jose; one grandchild; three brothers, Gary (and Sharon) Deweese of
Delavan, Duane (and Beverly) Deweese of Delavan and Keith (and
Melody) Deweese of Kilbourne; and one sister, Marilyn Wilson of
Delavan.
She was preceded in death by her
parents and two sisters.
Memorial

Marjorie Allen
Marjorie Louise Allen, 84, of Mason
City died at 5 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2002, at Mason District
Hospital in Havana.
A graveside service was at 11 a.m.
Monday at Mason City Cemetery, with the Rev. Patrick Clough
officiating.
Mrs. Allen worked at Oney’s and for
Hurley Funeral Home, both in Havana. She transported flowers for the
funeral home.
She was born March 1, 1918, in Mason
County to James P. and Mary Bitner Leininger. She married James
Allen on Oct. 27, 1945, in Havana. He died April 4, 1991.
She is survived by one brother, Glenn
Leininger of Mason City.
She was also preceded in death by two
sisters and four brothers.
She was a member of the Mason City
First Baptist Church, Mason County Sheriff’s Posse and Sandy Ridge
Trail Riders.
