Clara Wehner

Clara Wehner, 88, of Mount Pulaski died at 5:42 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, at Vonderlieth Living Center.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with the Rev. Paul Droegemueller officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.

Miss Wehner was a farmer.

She was born May 6, 1914, at Mount Pulaski to Charles and Nettie Uhle Wehner.

Survivors are three cousins, Amy Uhle of Lincoln, Ruth (and Gilbert) Degenhardt of Girard and Eunice Fitzell, address unknown.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski and the church’s Ladies Circle.

Memorials may be made to the church or to Logan County Humane Society.

Ronald ‘Zeke’ Zeisness

Ronald "Zeke" Zeisness, 73, of Mount Pulaski died at 7:37 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, at Doctor’s Hospital in Springfield.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Mount Pulaski First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Carol Andricks officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Burial will be in Melbourne Cemetery, Melbourne, Iowa.

Zeisness retired from Logan-Mason County Health Department.

He was born July 6, 1929, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Leonard and Marge Frease Zeisness. He married Jeannie Graeber in Melbourne, Iowa, on Dec. 27, 1948.

Survivors are his wife, of Mount Pulaski; one daughter, Lynn Marie Wessolowski of Twin Lakes, Wis.; two sons, Kim Jay Zeisness of Lakeville, Minn., and Jay Thomas Zeisness (and Kathleen Oertle) of Urbana; four grandchildren, Scott, Sarah, Josh and Brianne; one sister, Judith (and Dean) Diamond of Clive, Iowa; and one brother, Norman (and Ginny) McCreary of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mount Pulaski and its Men’s Club.

Memorials may be made to the church.

Lola List

Lola Helen List, 81, of Mason City died at 3:05 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002, at Mason City Area Nursing Home.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hurley Funeral Home, 603 E. Chestnut in Mason City. The Rev. James Sprinkel will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Burial will be at 1 p.m. in Virden Cemetery, Virden.

Mrs. List was a homemaker for her family.

She was born Nov. 15, 1920, in Kentucky to Lawrence and Lucy Crane Jones. She married John Albert List Jr. on Nov. 30, 1937, in Clayton, Mo. He died in 1984.

Surviving are one son, Ronnie Lee (and Janice) List of Mason City; one daughter, Nancy Carolyn List of Tulsa, Okla.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Albert Jones, Horse Cave, Ky.; and two sisters, Hazel Wells of Lexington, Ky., and Opal Jenn Watkins of Horse Cave, Ky.

She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Mason City.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
