Oasis update     Send a link to a friend

[DEC. 3, 2003]  The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Bingo

Maple Ridge will sponsor the bingo games starting at 1 p.m. Thursday. Join us for an afternoon of fun and special prizes.

Chili supper

Come in early before the Christmas parade Thursday for the chili and vegetable soup meal, starting at 3 p.m. Chili or vegetable soup, drink, and homemade dessert will be available for a $4 donation.

Oasis gift shop

If there is someone on your Christmas list who needs that special gift, shop at our gift shop. There are many items available for your Christmas shopping needs.

Tax law changes for 2004

Clarence Barney of H&R Block will discuss the new tax laws affecting distribution of assets prior to long-term care residency. The presentation is scheduled for Dec. 15 at 9 a.m. No reservation is necessary.

Game winners

Larry Van Bibber won weekend pinochle, Ann Greger won 5-in-1, and Harley Heath won pool. The weekday pinochle winners were Christine March and Mable Hoagland.
