Lincoln to
host over 1,000 [FEB. 12, 2003] Lincoln Christian College and Seminary is anticipating the attendance of over 1,000 participants from central Illinois for the annual Elders and Church Leader's Conference. The conference will kick off Saturday, Feb. 15, at 9 a.m. in the Earl C Hargrove Auditorium on the LCC campus and will feature speakers Allan Dunbar, executive director of the North American Christian Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Dr. Don Wilson, senior minister of Christ's Church of the Valley in Phoenix, Ariz. The workshop will focus on the principles of Jim Collins' best seller, "Good to Great." Dr. Keith Ray, president of Lincoln Christian College, and Don Green, vice president of church development, will assist in the hands-on training workshop, as will other Lincoln Christian College and Seminary faculty members. "This is an exciting time at LCC!" said President Ray. "The Elders and Church Leader's conference is a great training tool for leadership roles and responsibilities in the church, and we are happy that we are able to offer such outstanding speakers. "In addition, we are bringing many people into our community that have never experienced Lincoln," Ray added, "and we hope they will come back again." Registration for the conference is $30 and includes all sessions, training materials and lunch. Reservations may be made by calling 732-3168, Ext. 2222, or through the LCC website, www.lccs.edu. The seminar is available to all denominations. [LCCS news release] |
