[JULY 23, 2003]  The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Tuesday lunch program

Buy your $3.50 lunch ticket at the Oasis front desk by noon on Monday for the special spaghetti and meatballs lunch with salad and drink served at 11:30 a.m. July 29.

Oasis logo shirts

T-shirts and collared polo shirts with the registered logo of The Oasis Senior Citizens of Logan County Inc. are now available for sale. Stop in to see samples and pricing. This is just one more way you can help us help ourselves.

Winners

Weekly pinochle winners were Henry Warnisher and Mable Hoagland. Weekend winners were Mildred Newberry for pinochle and Betty Burger and Tom Garrison for 5 in 1. Alice Thornton and Harley Heath tied at pool.

Judy Morrow won the July lunch drawing from Blue Dog Inn.

July 12 card party winners were Pauline Boward, Annabelle Rademaker and Laverda Pelc for pinochle; Betty Burger, Ann Greger and Joanne Eckert for rummy; and Betty Field, Sis Dehner and Betty Oltmanns for bridge. Door prizes were won by Bernie DePuy, D.J. Butler, Ann Greger, Margaret Montgomery, Ruth Quisenberry and Winnie Trapp.
