Helen Romer, 92, of Mount Pulaski died Monday, March 3, 2003, at
9:07 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with the Rev.
Ken Berryman officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the
service.
Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.
Mrs. Romer was a retired farmer and housewife.
She was born Aug. 16, 1910, in Decatur to Oran R. and Alma Brust
Gulick. She married Clarence Romer on Jan. 5, 1946, in Decatur. He
died March 23, 1958.
Surviving are one son, Dean Romer of Lincoln; one stepdaughter,
Marilyn (and Jim) Leonard of Illiopolis; three grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; and one brother, Herbert (and Daisy) Gulick of
Decatur.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski. She
was a past member of the Logan County Farm Bureau and Home
Extension, the Women's Club and Garden Club of Mount Pulaski, and
the former Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose Lodge in Decatur.
She graduated from Brown's Business College in 1929.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church of Mount
Pulaski.
