Robert Schultz

Robert A. "Bob" Schultz, 54, of Lincoln died Sunday (Nov. 16, 2003) at 9 p.m. at his home.

No visitation or service is scheduled.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lincoln, at a later date.

Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Oct. 17, 1949, in Springfield.

Survivors are two sisters, Carolyn Hamilton of Lincoln and Diane Deatherage of Springfield; one brother, Bill Schultz of Lincoln; three stepsisters, Kathy Schultz of Springfield, Bonnie Lyons of Jacksonville and Susan Pipkin of Springfield; two stepbrothers, Charles Schultz and John Schultz, both of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents were Robert A. Schultz and Betty Turley Schultz Gentile.

He was of the Lutheran faith.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Frances Murphy

Frances Patricia Murphy, 85, of Lincoln died Sunday (Nov. 16, 2003) at 7:46 p.m. at Maple Ridge Care Centre.

Her funeral was Wednesday morning at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating. A prayer service and visitation were on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial is in Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

Mrs. Murphy retired after 25 years as a cook at The Tropics in Lincoln.

She was born July 23, 1918, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Bernadino and Antenio Lopez. She married Robert Alexander Murphy on Sept. 27, 1939, in St.  Louis, Mo. He died June 28, 1983.

Survivors are two sons, Gerald Dean “Jim” (and Connie) Murphy of Centralia and William Ross (and Faye) Murphy of Bonaqua, Tenn.; five daughters, Patricia “Murphy” Quisenberry of Lincoln, Antonia (and Mike) McClain of Hamburg, Ark., Roberta (and Wayne) Frye of Lincoln, Jessie (and Dennis) Reves of Lincoln and Florence (and Steve) Coulter of Bloomington; 17 grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, three grandchildren and three sisters.

She was a member of Holy Family Church in Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to the church or Hospice Care of Illinois.

William 'Frank' Lockard

William "Frank" Lockard, 59, of Lincoln died Monday (Nov. 17, 2003) at 5:45 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Mr. Lockard was cremated.

A graveside service with military rites will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, with the Rev. Clyde Shreve officiating.

There is no visitation.

Arrangements are being handled by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Mr. Lockard was a self-employed carpenter.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968.

He was born June 6, 1944, in Chicago to Herman and Bessie Watson Lockard.

Survivors are three daughters, Ada (and James) Harris of Electic, Ala., LaDonna Thompson of Decatur and Sandra Parker of California; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Louise (and Noble) Webster Sr. of Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church of Lincoln.
