The Oasis, Logan
County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open
weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also
open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is
the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County
senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Potluck
luncheon Oct. 9
Join us Thursday at 11:30 a.m. for the
monthly get-together. The entree is roast pork. Bring a dish to pass
or a $3 donation. This month the free lunch drawing is sponsored by
the Tropics.
Stay for bingo games and prizes
sponsored by The Oasis, starting at 1 p.m.
Holiday
closing
The Oasis will be closed Monday, Oct.
13, for the Columbus Day holiday. Regular activities will resume at
9 a.m. Tuesday.

The meeting of the board of directors
is open to the public and is scheduled for 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16.

55 Alive
course
AARP is sponsoring the 55 Alive driver
safety program, which qualifies for an auto insurance discount.
There are only a few seats remaining. Call 732-6132 for a
reservation. The course is scheduled for Oct. 27 and 28 from 12:30
to 4:30 p.m. at The Oasis. You must attend both days. The fee is $10
per person, payable to AARP.
Game
winners
The Springfield Senior Center won the
pinochle challenge from The Oasis. Bernie Haley and Eleanor Barton
were winners of the weekly Oasis pinochle games, and Harley Heath
won pool honors.
