Blood drive in Lincoln on Monday     Send a link to a friend

[SEPT. 5, 2003]  The Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor the Central Illinois Community Blood Center blood drive on Monday, Sept. 8, from noon to 6 p.m. at the Logan County Paramedic Association building, 1300 N. Postville Drive in Lincoln.

The Central Illinois Community Blood Center is the sole provider of blood and blood products to hospitals in Sangamon, Morgan, Greene, Macoupin, Logan, Christian, Montgomery and Pike counties and for patients throughout central Illinois.

The CICBC, a not-for-profit organization founded in 1971, now works toward collecting more than 36,000 units of blood annually. More than 715 donors are needed each week to meet this need.

Every time you donate, you are helping to give another person a chance at life. Your donation could save up to three people because blood can be made into three components. You can save the life of a neighbor, friend or family member who suffers from a disease, has been injured in an accident or is undergoing a surgical procedure.

For more information about how you can help, call (217) 753-1530.
