[SEPT. 26, 2003]  One-fourth of the proceeds from sales at The Treasure Chest on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 28, will go toward this November's second annual Veterans' Celebration.

St. John United Church of Christ Youth Group will work at the store and sponsor the party to honor all local veterans. Hours for the fund-raiser sales are 1-4 p.m. Sunday. The Treasure Chest, located at 109 S. Kickapoo, offers a variety of decorative items and gifts, some made by local crafters. Barb Reinwald of Lincoln owns the shop.

This year's Veterans' Celebration is scheduled for 5-9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at After Shock. The Nostalgics will provide music, including a tribute to each branch of the service. St. John Youth Group is planning for dancing, games and food.
