LINCOLN --
R. Joyce Bush, 69, of Lincoln, died Sunday, April 17, 2005, at
3:25 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Visitation
will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Her funeral
will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lincoln Christian Church,
with Tom Gerdts officiating.
Burial will
be in New Union Cemetery.
Mrs. Bush
was a homemaker and gave piano lessons in her home for 50
years.
She was born
Jan. 9, 1936, in Louisville, Ky., to C. Russell and Opal Sims
Bowers. She married John H. Bush on July 24, 1955, in
Elletsville, Ind. He died June 14, 2001.
She is
survived by four sons, John Mark (and Judy) Bush of Lima,
Jerry (and Linda) Bush of Springfield, James Michael (and
Vicki) Bush of Champaign and Jeffrey (and Jo Ellen) Bush of
Mount Vernon, Ind.; two daughters, Jane (and Marcus) Work of
Lincoln and Janice (and Perry) Fisher of Markle, Ind.; 20
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bonnie
(and Kent) Roberts of Hopkinsville, Ky.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
She was a member of the Lincoln Christian Church and the Music
Federation.
She attended Lincoln Christian College.

MIDDLETOWN -- Doreen J.
Dorgan, 78, of Springfield, formerly of Middletown, died
Saturday, April 16, 2005, at 11:20 a.m. at Memorial Medical
Center in Springfield.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7
p.m. Tuesday at Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln. There will be
a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
Her funeral Mass will be at
9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Church in Lincoln, with the
Rev. R. Anthony Lee officiating.
Burial will be in Holy Cross
Cemetery, Lincoln.
Mrs. Dorgan was a homemaker
and farm wife.
She was born Dec. 11, 1926, in
Agassiz, British Columbia, Canada, to Charles V. and Catherine
Cecilia Foley Anderson. She married Lawrence J. Dorgan on Aug.
1, 1949, in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on June 22,
1980, in Middletown.
Mrs. Dorgan is survived by one
son, Jeff (and Cinda) Dorgan of Middletown; one daughter,
Maureen (and Steven) Douglas of Middletown; one granddaughter
and two grandsons; one brother, Thomas Anderson of Aurora; and
three sisters, Isabelle Anderson of Springfield, Gladys
Edwards of Lincoln and Eva Lorenzi of Springfield.
She was also preceded in death
by three sisters.
She was a lifelong member of
St. John the Baptist Church in Middletown.

Teddy Lewis Sapp, 78, of Lincoln died Saturday, April 16,
2005, at 9:15 a.m. at his home.
A graveside
service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at New Union
Cemetery, with the Rev. R. Anthony Lee officiating.
There will
be no visitation.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home of Lincoln handled
arrangements.
Mr. Sapp was
a technician at Lincoln Developmental Center.
He was born
Jan. 28, 1927, in Lincoln to John and Mamie Elizabeth Cassell
Sapp Sr.
He is
survived by a foster grandson, Richard Bowice of Lincoln, and
several nieces and nephews.
He was
preceded in death by his parents and 12 brothers and sisters.
He was a
member of Holy Family Church in Lincoln

LINCOLN -- Pauline Groth, 86,
of Lincoln, died Saturday, April 16, 2005, at 5:10 a.m. at
Maple Ridge Care Centre.
A graveside service will be at
10 a.m. Tuesday in Old Union Cemetery, with the Rev. Jame Haas
officiating.
There is no visitation.
Holland and Barry Funeral Home
is handling arrangements.
She cleaned homes.
She was born Aug. 4, 1918, at Midland to Wilhelm and
Kathryn Jones Groth.
She is survived by one brother, Otto Groth of Gulfport,
Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William and
Robert Groth, and two sisters, Orvilla Finley and Marjorie
Mareana.
She was of the Methodist
faith.
Memorials may be made to Maple
Ridge Care Centre in memory of Pauline Groth.

MOUNT PULASKI -- Doris Belle
Duncan, 93, of Mount Pulaski, died Thursday, April 14, 2005,
at 10:30 p.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m.
Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount
Pulaski, with Steve Ingram officiating. Visitation will be one
hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Steenbergen
Cemetery.
Mrs. Duncan was a homemaker.
She was born Feb. 7, 1912, at
Elkhart to William and Alta McMann Fuiten. She married J.C.
Duncan in Logan County on Feb. 14, 1937. He preceded her in
death.
She is survived by one
daughter, Beverly (and Gene) Harrison of Forsyth; two
grandchildren, Scott (and Laura) Harrison of Decatur and Susan
(and Chris) Zeras of Maitland, Fla.; two great-grandchildren,
Lindsey Harrison and Lillie Zeras; one brother, Charles Fuiten
of Buffalo; and three sisters, Mabel Manley, Ethel McCain and
Wilma Dickerson, all of Mount Pulaski.
She was also preceded in death
by one sister, Dorothy Peterson, and an infant son, James
Clarence.
She was a member of Northwest
Christian Church of Decatur.
Memorials may be designated
for the Northwest Christian Church property.
