MOUNT PULASKI -- Norma I. Goodman, 78, died Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, at 5:45 a.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Jeremy Thomason and Bill Shanle officiating.

Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery.

Mrs. Goodman was a homemaker.

She was born Dec. 13, 1926, at Chestnut to Ahijah and Lola Reynolds Green. She married Sheldon Goodman in St. Louis, Mo., on June 27, 1942. He died Feb. 11, 2002.

She is survived by two sons, Leon Goodman of Denver, Colo., and Richard (and Sally) Goodman of Taylorville; two daughters, Loretta (and Ron) Merold of Mount Pulaski and Jane (and Pat) McDonnough of Mount Pulaski; a son-in-law, Dennis Beggs of Mount Pulaski; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Gene Green of Springfield and Donald (and Peggy) Green of Springfield; and three sisters, Ruby Agnew of Decatur, Louise Blankenship of Springfield and Joyce Robinson of Springfield.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Marilyn Beggs; one granddaughter; two brothers; and one sister.

She was a member of Mount Pulaski Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Kidney Foundation.

LINCOLN -- Vera Lois Kinsey, 87, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2005, at 11 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jame Hahs and Ryan Edgecomb co-officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in McLean Cemetery, McLean.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Kinsey was a homemaker and schoolteacher, and for many years she and her husband sold Christmas trees from their home on Eighth Street.

She was born Dec. 30, 1917, in Indiana to Joseph and Jean Reid Ribbands. She married Ulysses Grant "Bud" Kinsey in Streator on July 1, 1939. He died Oct. 6, 1999.

She is survived by one son, John (and Marcia) Kinsey of Sycamore; two daughters, Susan (and Gerald) Dehner of Lincoln and Carol (and Mark) Davison of Tremont; six grandchildren, Brian Dehner (and Angi Geyer), Jennifer Dehner, Meredith Dehner, Scott (and Kassy) Davison, Britt Davison and Jeff Kinsey; and three great-grandchildren, Ryan Davison, Ethan Dehner and Bailee Goodman.

She was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to her church, Christian Village or American Diabetes Association.

LINCOLN -- Martin Allen Reese, 47, of Lincoln died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, at 8:10 p.m. at his home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Tom Gerdts officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.

Mr. Reese was a senior technician for Thompson Electronics in Peoria.

He was born Dec. 1, 1957, in Carbondale to Wallace H. and Nancy Benedict Reese.

He is survived by his parents, of Lincoln, and four brothers, Scott (and Vicki) Reese of Athens, David Reese of Lincoln, Richard (and Carol) Reese of Springfield and Kenneth Reese (and his fiancee, Sara Thies) of Lincoln).

He was a member of Westside Christian Church in Springfield and the Illinois Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a strong supporter of various charities.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
