					ELKHART -- Cassius Feese, 90, of Elkhart, formerly of Mason 
					City, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at 5:55 a.m. at his home.
					 Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at 
					Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln. A graveside 
					service will be on Tuesday at Elkhart Cemetery, with Charles 
					E. Bennett in charge. Mr. Feese worked in heavy construction in Oregon for 27 
					years. Before his move to Oregon in 1950, he worked at 
					Armour and Company in Petersburg. He was born March 13, 1915, in Columbia, Ky., to late 
					Lloyd Henry and Nellie Thomas Feese. He married Mabel E. 
					Prince in 1933. He later married Ruby Irene Tippett, and she 
					died in 1998. His first wife died in 2003. He is survived by one son, Wayne Feese of Mason City; one 
					brother, Charles Thomas Feese of Springfield; one sister, 
					Jewell Allsopp of Lincoln; five grandchildren; nine 
					great-grandchildren; his companion, Charlotte Key of 
					Elkhart; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one son, Ronald Lee 
					Feese; two sisters, Mildred Feese and Lula E. Miller; two 
					brothers, Elmer and Henry Allen Feese; and two grandsons. He was of the Christian faith. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the 
					American Heart Association or to CIEDC in Lincoln.

					LINCOLN -- Amber Leann Manus, 26, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 
					2005, at 6:40 a.m. in the emergency room at BroMenn Medical 
					Center in Normal. Her funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at 
					Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation 
					will begin at 1 p.m., and the Eagles Auxiliary will conduct 
					a service at 2:45 p.m. She was a licensed practical nurse for Interim Nursing 
					Agency in Bloomington. She was born April 24, 1979, in Peoria to Gregory and 
					Deborah Garner Manus. She is survived by her father and stepmother, Gregory and 
					Rhonda Manus of San Jose; her mother and stepfather, Deborah 
					McCray and Ken Hasprey of Lincoln; one son, Andrew Sherrer 
					of Lincoln; her companion, Derek Sherrer of Lincoln; her 
					maternal grandparents, William and Luella Garner of Easton; 
					her paternal grandfather, Carlyle Manus of San Jose; two 
					sisters, Terra (and Phillip) White of Lincoln and Jessica 
					Manus of Sherman; one stepbrother, Jason (and Shannon) 
					Anderson of Bettendorf, Iowa; and two nieces, Taylor and 
					Tabatha Manus of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother and 
					stepfather Rick Anderson. She was a member of San Jose United Methodist Church, 
					Eagles Auxiliary 2708 and Lincoln Bowling Association. Memorials may be made to the family.

                     James Sloan 
					
					 Send a link to a friend LINCOLN -- James Robert "Jim" Sloan, 64, of Lincoln died 
					Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, at 5:40 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln 
					Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at American 
					Legion Post 163. A Fraternal Order of Eagles 2708 service 
					will be at 7:45 p.m. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immanuel 
					Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dan Wissmann officiating. Burial, with military rites, will be in Hartsburg Union 
					Cemetery. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln is 
					handling arrangements. Mr. Sloan owned and operated Sloan Fertilizer from 1982 
					until he retired in July 2003. He previously worked for 
					Fuller Seed Company. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He was born Dec. 19, 1940, in Lincoln to Stephen E. and 
					Martha L. Klockenga Sloan. He married Carol A. Knollenberg 
					on Sept. 29, 1963, in New Holland. He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; his father, of 
					Hartsburg; one son, Stephen Sloan of Lincoln; one brother, 
					William Lee (and Barbara) Sloan of Sherman; one sister, 
					Frances "Fran" Petersen of Lincoln; two granddaughters, 
					Morgan and Madison Sloan of Durant, Iowa; two grandsons, 
					Logan and Colton Sloan of Durant, Iowa; and 17 nieces and 
					nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother; one sister, Joyce 
					Seaman Detmers; and one brother, Paul Sloan. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lincoln, 
					Lincoln Elks 914, Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 2708, 
					Lincoln Moose Lodge, Lincoln Railer Basketball Booster Club, 
					Lincoln Sportsman Club and Logan County Farm Extension. He 
					was also a member of American Legion Post 263, served as 
					post commander twice and was currently senior vice 
					commander. He was a past member of the Logan County Fair board. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and Railer basketball. He 
					served as official scorekeeper for more than 32 years and 
					was elected into the Illinois High School Basketball Coaches 
					Association Hall of Fame in 1995. Memorials may be made to the building fund of American 
					Legion Post 263 or to Lincoln Railer Basketball Boosters.

					Robert M. Prather, 45, of Bloomington died Sunday, Dec. 4, 
					2005, at 3:10 p.m. at BroMenn Regional Medical Center in 
					Normal. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Quiram Funeral 
					Home, Atlanta, with the Rev. John L. Horner officiating. 
					Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial of cremains will be in Atlanta Cemetery. He was born Feb. 4, 1960, at Lincoln to Everett J. and 
					Minnie L. Miller Prather. He is survived by one son, Jared M. Prather of Normal; 
					one daughter, Megan (and Justin) Morefield of Normal; five 
					brothers, Don (and Pat) Prather of East Peoria, Gary Prather 
					of Pocahontas, Ark., Randy (and Karen) Prather of 
					Springfield, Marvin (and Alice) Prather of Creve Coeur and 
					Rick (and Brenda) Prather of McLean; three sisters, Carolyn 
					(and Roger) Marten of Lincoln, Sharon (and Jim) Applegate of 
					Atlanta and Connie (and Dexter) Sheff of Panama City, Fla.;
