LINCOLN -- Delmar Eugene Bergman, 77, of Lincoln died Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at 9:45 a.m. at St. John's Hospice in Springfield.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. An Eagles service will follow at 5 p.m.

His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Peters officiating.

Burial, with military rites, will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.

Mr. Bergman was a postal carrier in Lincoln before he retired in 1989.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

He was born July 25, 1927, in Flint, Mich., to Carl and Ruth Ewers Bergman. He married Dixie Bagby in Murphysboro on Nov. 22, 1965.

He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; one son, Randall Eugene (and Peggy) Bergman of Mason City; two daughters, Denise Bergman of Lincoln and Becky (and Tim) Rempe of Branson, Mo.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Dale (and Sandy) Bergman of Chatham and David (and Diane) Bergman of Mason City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Carla Jean Bergman.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 263, VFW, 40 et 8 of Logan County and the Lincoln Eagles Lodge.

Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or to the Lincoln House group home.

LINCOLN -- Guy Allen Jackson, 81, of Lincoln died Sunday, June 19, 2005, at 8:31 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday at Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln.

His graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Zion Cemetery, with Orville Jackson officiating.

Mr. Jackson worked at Stetson's Pottery for 19 years as a kiln placer and later at Eaton as a paint sprayer for 23 years before he retired in 1989. He also worked for the B&B Railroad for three years.

He was in the U.S. Army for three years and served in the Pacific Theatre.

He was born Aug. 26, 1923, at Hartsburg to William C. and Sophia Daisy Engel Jackson. He married Ruby M. Jackson on April 3, 1946, in Decatur.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years; one son, Guy Eugene (and Linda) Jackson of Lincoln; one daughter, Patricia M. Jenkins of St. Louis, Mo; four grandsons; one granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers and was the last member of his immediate family.

He was a member of Local 1165 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and Potters Union.

MOUNT PULASKI -- Dorothy Helen Bender, 91, of Mount Pulaski died Saturday, June 18, 2005, at 7:15 a.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with the Rev. Frank Pieper officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.

Miss Bender was a retired photographer.

She was born Oct. 19, 1913, in Mount Pulaski to John Frederick and Ruth Von Lobberecht Bender.

She is survived by one sister, June Rockwell of Mount Pulaski; one sister-in-law, Harriet Bender of Mount Pulaski; and several nieces and nephews.

Four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski, and memorials may be made to the church.

MASON CITY -- Mildred Douglas, 88, formerly of New Holland, died Saturday, June 18, 2005, at 4:25 a.m. at Health Park Care Center, Fort Myers, Fla.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m.

Burial will be in Richmond Grove Cemetery, New Holland.

Mrs. Douglas worked at Stetson China in Lincoln and then in the foreign titles section of the Illinois secretary of state's office for 10 years. After she retired from state employment, she worked at Cranwill's restaurant in Mason City. She moved to Florida in 1988 and worked at Shellpoint Nursing Home and then at Publix Food Service for the past 15 years.

She was born Sept. 28, 1917, at Kaleva, Mich., to Delopha and Nora Ford Skaggs. She married Merle Douglas on Aug. 26, 1935, in Mason City. He died April 15, 1975.

She is survived by one son, Ronald (and Karen) Douglas of New Holland; one daughter, Janet Sue (and Robert) Maxwell of Fort Myers, Fla.; two grandchildren; and a cousin, special friend and traveling companion, Darlene Robertson of Mason City.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Becker.

She was a member of the Mason City Christian Church and had been a member of the Ladies Farm Bureau of Mason County.

Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund for the Mason City Christian Church.
