LINCOLN -- Delmar Eugene Bergman, 77, of Lincoln died
Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at 9:45 a.m. at St. John's Hospice in
Springfield.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. An Eagles
service will follow at 5 p.m.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral
home, with the Rev. Mark Peters officiating.
Burial, with military rites, will be in Camp Butler
National Cemetery, Springfield.
Mr. Bergman was a postal carrier in Lincoln before he
retired in 1989.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean
War.
He was born July 25, 1927, in Flint, Mich., to Carl and
Ruth Ewers Bergman. He married Dixie Bagby in Murphysboro on
Nov. 22, 1965.
He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; one son, Randall
Eugene (and Peggy) Bergman of Mason City; two daughters,
Denise Bergman of Lincoln and Becky (and Tim) Rempe of
Branson, Mo.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren;
and two brothers, Dale (and Sandy) Bergman of Chatham and
David (and Diane) Bergman of Mason City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter,
Carla Jean Bergman.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, American Legion
Post 263, VFW, 40 et 8 of Logan County and the Lincoln Eagles
Lodge.
Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or to the
Lincoln House group home.
